US stocks closed mixed but Dow and S&P at record highs
FXStreet (San Francisco) - Wall Street finished the day with mixed numbers as the Dow and the S&P 500 closed at record highs while the Nasdaq Composite declined for first time in 4 days.
Investors digested well the upbeat ADP report but are reluctant of take positions ahead of super Thursday with ECB meeting and US employment report.
The Dow Jones advanced 20.17 points or 0.12% to finish the day at 16,976.24; the S&P 500 added 1.30 pts or 0.07% to close at 1,974.62; while the Nasdaq Composite declined 0.92 points or 0.02% to 4,457.73.
