US Senate confirms Janet Yellen as new Fed head
Despite rumours of a possible delay in the Fed Chairman nomination vote due to weather conditions, the US Senate voting procedure finally went underway, and according to newswires, just minutes ago, Janet Yellen reached the minimum number of votes to officially become the new Fed head, with her official mandate starting on February 1.
