Stocks and US dollar turnaround day ahead of nonfarm payrolls

We had a turn around in stocks today ahead of the nonfarm payrolls data that is due on Friday in the US session.

Markets are bullish with a return of risk appatite on better US data today in a solid ADP and ISM services report along with a shorp rally in the price of oil and a stornger performace in the greenback.

For the Dow, gains were recorded and put a stop to the continuing declines we had been seeing over the last severla days putting Dow Jones Industrial Average to close 41.23 points, or 0.2% higher at 18,355.00. The S&P 500 also finished higher with a jump in oil prices that closed above $41 a barrel with energy stocks rallying as well. The S&P advanced 6.76 points, or 0.3% to 2,163.79. finally, the Nasdaq Composite Index finished the session up 22 points, or 0.4%, at 5,159.74.
