US: PCE rose 1.2% YoY in August

FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - The US Commerce Department informed that the US inflation, measured by the Personal Consumption Expenditures, rose 1.2% YoY during August, missing consensus at 1.5%. On a monthly basis, prices rose 0.1%. The Core reading, which strips the food and energy costs, rose 1.2% over the last twelve months and 0.2% MoM. Personal Income expanded 0.4% on a monthly basis while Personal Spending rose 0.3%.
