Speculators increase bearish bets on US 10-year Treasury futures
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday, speculators raised their overall bearish bets sharply on the US 10-year Treasury note futures.
The non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes stood at -67,208 contracts in the data reported for February 17th. The long positions fell by 3,647 contracts while the short positions rose by 18,745 contracts.
Meanwhile, over the reporting time frame – Feb 10th to Feb 17th - the yield on the 10-Year treasury note rose from 2.01% to 2.14%.
