NZD/JPY capped below 78.60, fresh 1-month highs
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The NZD/JPY foreign exchange cross rate is last trading at 78.49, off recent session highs at 78.60, caped below NY session highs at about same level, highest seen in 1 month.
NZD/JPY higher mostly on Kiwi strength
The cross has been inside a wide range 74.30/80.10 since early Feb, just to end flat at current levels, though still adding more than +24% gains in las 12 months. Up +2.37% for the week so far, the move comes mostly on the back of recent Kiwi strength, combined with relative Yen weakness as well.
NZD/JPY key technical levels
Immediate resistance to the upside for NZD/JPY shows at recent session/NY weekly highs 78.60, followed by June 03 lows at 79.43, and June 05 highs at 80.80. To the downside, closest support lies at Wednesday's highs/recent session lows 78.26, followed by Monday's highs at 78.06, and yesterday's/Tuesday's lows at 77.38.
