Top movers: USD is the loser, Pacific's are up; USD/RUB on its way back

FXStreet (San Francisco) - The US dollar is moving on the defensive as investors are trading on low volume session and profit taking mode. The behavior is affecting the valuation of the gold and feeding Pacific pairs.

The top winners are AUD/USD: +0.74% to 0.8190; NZD/USD: +0.62% to 0.7833; and GBP/USD: 0.25% to 1.5553. Top losers are USD/RUB: -4.35% to 55.77; USD/BRL: -1.62% to 2.6571; and the USD/JPY: -1.24% to 119.16.

The Ruble is recovering some ground against the US Dollar after Monday's big losses; hoever, the pair remains 71% positive YTD.
